Join Oxbow’s Restoration Work Parties & Get Your Hands Dirty for a Good Cause!

Join Oxbow’s monthly Restoration Work Parties every second Saturday to plant native species, remove invasive plants, and promote resilient landscapes. Whether you’re passionate about conservation or just love spending time outdoors, this is your chance to make a difference restoring critical wildlife habitat.

Special Spring Focus: April’s work party will take place at our Fall City Floodplain Restoration Project, where we’re planting thousands of native trees and shrubs to restore salmon habitat. Starting in May, we’ll return to our restoration efforts on site at Oxbow.

What to Expect

With an auger in hand, we’ll be digging holes and planting as many trees and shrubs as possible—but we can’t do it alone! We have space for 50 volunteers, so gather your friends, roll up your sleeves, and join us in supporting salmon recovery!
This April, we’ll be planting:

  • Western red cedar
  • Salmonberry
  • Crabapple
  • Ninebark
  • Big-leaf maple
  • Sitka spruce
  • & more!

Your Impact

By volunteering, you’re doing more than just planting trees—you’re nurturing healthy ecosystems!
Your work helps:

  • Reduce flooding and protect waterways
  • Help reconnect the Snoqualmie River with its natural floodplain
  • Restore salmon habitats, which also supports orca populations
  • Improve air and water quality for our community
  • Create a healthier forest for generations to come

A large group of volunteers in rain gear celebrate their restoration efforts, with another volunteer planting a tree in a muddy field.
