Join us on Saturday, March 27, from 10AM-3PM as we celebrate our feathered friends and springtime flora at Oxbow! The event is free to attend, but please pre-register at EventBrite.
Here’s the lineup for the day:
Enjoy a birding tour around Oxbow Lake with one of Oxbow’s resident bird experts! With a little luck, you’ll catch glimpses of Great Blue Herons, Eagles, Hooded Mergansers, Trumpeter Swans, or Red-Tailed Hawks!
We’re offering four birding tours throughout the day: 10:15AM, 11:15 AM, 12:15 PM, and 1:45 PM. Each tour is around 45 minutes long. Tour capacity is limited to 10 guests; after registering at EventBrite, you’ll receive a link to sign up separately for the optional birding tours.
Ages 8 and up – parents or guardians must accompany minors. Wear good walking shoes, come dressed for the weather, and bring your own binoculars if you have them, but no prior birding experience is necessary!
Chef Seth Fernald returns to highlight seasonal Oxbow veggies and other locally-produced food in a delicious farm lunch. Offered 11–2PM at Oxbow’s outdoor kitchen. Meals can be purchased at the outdoor kitchen. View the tentative menu here.
Take a relaxed, self-guided walk on our network of trails and see Oxbow’s wetlands, farm fields, forests, and kid-friendly spaces to explore and play! Download a Trail Map here.
Join Oxbow’s Education team for fun, hands-on activities for kids of all ages! Drop in for a scavenger hunt, see what’s sprouting up on the Kids’ Farm, explore the Living Playground, and more.
Stop by the Farm Stand and bring home a tasty selection of fresh organic produce. We’ll also have Native Plants available for sale so you can help build healthy habitats for birds in your own yard or garden! The Farm Stand will be open from 10AM-4PM.
