Oxbow parts ways with Wilderness Awareness School
It is with a mixture of nostalgia, excitement, appreciation, and (a little) regret that Oxbow announces that we will no longer be partnering with our good friends at Wilderness Awareness School for our popular Farm and Forest Camps in 2015. Instead, we will be independently be hosting our own series of summer camps on the farm in July and August
For four wonderful years, Oxbow and WAS enjoyed a highly successful summer camp partnership. WAS and Oxbow camp instructors applied WAS’ nature-connection curriculum on the educational Kids’ Farm at Oxbow, where kids learned about the plants and critters, big and small, that make up the intricate ecosystem of an organic vegetable farm.
WAS and Oxbow will continue to offer summer camps, independently, in 2015 and for the foreseeable future. The farmers feel fortunate to have benefited in countless ways since 2010 in our partnership with Wilderness Awareness School and wish luck to our friends in the Snoqualmie Valley!
