Our final Oxtober weekend for 2017!
What an Oxtober it’s been! We’ve had a whole month of fair weather and good cheer, with only had one super soggy day and one unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) inaccurate flood forecast that prompted a closure last Sunday. Huge thanks to everyone for understanding—we’re already brainstorming ways that we can safely remain open in similar scenarios next fall!
We’re gearing up to close our annual celebration with one last weekend of back-to-back sunny days, blue skies, and fall farm fun!
Here’s what we’re looking forward to this weekend:
- Half off Jack-o’-Lanterns all weekend long!
- Gorgeous organic produce at our Farm Stand
- Live music by Squirrel Butter from 12-4PM on Saturday
- Live music by Mr & Mrs Something from 1:30-4PM on Sunday
- Hot Revolution Donuts
- Hay Rides, Kids’ Farm Tours, Flower-crown making, and Mini-pumpkin decorating
- Exploring our House of Hay, vine tunnels, and Climbing Tractor
- Drop in on a Restoration Work Party to pull some weeds and plant a tree (no need to pre-register, just follow the sign)
- Sign up for a Native Plant Workshop — there are just a few spots left for Saturday’s class!

Most of all, we look forward to sharing our beautiful land with YOU during this gorgeous harvest season. Our doors aren’t open to the public every day; the rest of the year we’re working to teach children about farming and the environment, grow and research native plants, maintain and learn from our land, and grow nutritious vegetables. Oxtober is a special time to extend our little slice of the Valley to you, our Oxbow community. Thanks for sharing the magic and abundance of fall with us this season!
