Oxbow farmer Adam McCurdy to speak on local food panel
Oxbow’s Farm Manager Adam McCurdy will be representing the farmer’s perspective as part of the Jewish Food Movement Panel at the Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC) on Mercer Island on Wednesday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. Adam and Oxbow have been operating a CSA with local Jewish organizations under the Hazon concept since 2009.
The panel will be made up of Jewish leaders in Seattle’s agricultural, slow food, and farm-to-table movement. Adria Shimada, owner of Parfait Organic Artisan Ice Cream, and Ben Friedman, owner of Homegrown Sustainable Sandwich Shop, will also speak. The event will be moderated by Warren Etheredge, a leading figure in Seattle’s film and cultural scene.
