Oxbow’s Native Plant Nursery will be having an OPEN HOUSE and INFORMATIONAL SESSION at on Friday, June 26th for urban landscape and restoration professionals

Oxbow’s nursery is a state-of-the-art native plant propagation and research facility in Carnation. The day will be an opportunity to experience and learn from our unique, organic propagation techniques and to discuss native plants’ increasingly popular applications to the fields of urban landscape and restoration.

We hope to facilitate conversations and connections among landscape and restoration professionals and Oxbow’s staff and research team.

Objectives for the day include:

Learning:

  • How and why we use sustainable practices to produce plants
  • The research we do on native plant propagation and installation
  • Why locally adapted plant material matters

Seeing:

  • This year’s crop of 80+ beautiful, healthy native species
  • Our state-of-the art greenhouse facility
  • The beautiful Oxbow property that inspires our work here

Discussing:

  • Issues and barriers to using natives in your work setting
  • Plant material availability issues that matter to you
  • Ideas for future research relevant to your work

1:00 — 4:00: information and networking for restoration/mitigation professionals
